for my birthday i went to the purebred pigeon show. it was splendid! i adore birds. even pigeons. they are beautiful. when i first married my husband he called them sky rats and it hurt my feelings. (he's from NY.)
later in the day we saw this sunset in Del Mar. i felt like the sky, and God, were smiling on my birthday.

the sunset photo was taken from the shore of a sweet village called del mar...if you ever travel to san diego, check it out...about fifteen minutes north of downtown...

My fave birthday memory is when I was 14. I got my first dog... a sweet little pup I called Sam. He lived until I was 27 and I was devastated when he died.

My favourite birthday memory is from my 5th birthday. In the morning, I went outside to play and discovered a hutch with 2 rabbits in it -- my birthday gift from my parents. I was so surprised and thrilled!

Sky rats! I'd never heard that before. I love pigeons as well. When my parents took me to the park, I always tried to catch one. Never did, though.

One who loves animals. Most of my life I've been afraid of dogs, but I have three children with dogs and now I love them! And cats!!
